ASKET is a Poznań-based family company with 35 years of history, specializing in machine design for international industrial markets. The company has been also working on pro-ecological solutions since its inception. In 2005 it launched the construction of a pioneering straw briquetting machine – Biomasser and after that – a Tomasser crusher. Natural briquettes are a fuel, which is an alternative to coal or wood. Proven and recognized by customers, the technology has allowed the development of production and sale in Poland. However, the company’s goal was also to expand into European and global markets.
ASKET became a laureate of the GreenEvo – Technology Accelerator in the first edition, which enabled the company to acquire knowledge about global export.
Interest in the Biomasser® technology had increased due to participation in numerous foreign missions within GreenEvo on international markets. With the help of the the Ministry of the Environment (currently the Ministry of Climate) in 2013, ASKET reported its Biomasser technology to the pilot Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) programme to validate the declared parameters. In 2014, the company obtained the status of the first verified technology in Europe, confirmed by the Verification Certificate No. VN20140001. Both awards – the GreenEvo Winner and the ETV Certificate translated into a measurable increase in global sales.
ASKET produces stationary and mobile production lines in a solar-powered plant. They work in many European countries, but also in Africa and Australia. An important achievement of the company is the delivery to Belarus in 2018 of two large mobile Biomasser® mobile briquetting lines in cooperation within the European Commission tender.
The company is also an active participant in educational programmes, including the European Sustainable Development Week (ESWD), UN climate conferences COP14, COP18, COP19, and COP23 as well as it directly supports the National Programme of the Chief Technical Organisation (FSNT NOT) in promoting awareness of safety and environmental protection among young people in technical schools and universities. “We’ve been working with GreenEvo from the very beginning because we are the winner of the first edition that took place over 10 years ago. At the time, it was a completely new, unproven formula we trusted – and we were right! Time has shown that it is a great programme that has helped us increase the scale of operations and strengthen our brand’s position. GreenEvo is also a showcase of the Polish economy abroad and proof that when it comes to green technologies – we have something to be proud of. We are glad that we can contribute to this “- says Barbara Pokrzywa, Sales Director of the company.
