On 28 May 2013, the Ministry of the Environment welcomed the Minister of Science and Technology of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, professor Ita Okon Bassey Ewe, who was accompanied by a delegation representing the Nigerian research institutions from the science, green technology and innovation sectors. The visit was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visit is a continuation of the talks held by Minister Ewe during the 8th WTA General Meeting in Gliwice, including the issue of creating a science and technology park in Sheda, Nigeria (SHESTCO Sillicon Valley).
The Nigerian delegation was interested in the meeting with winners of the project âGreenEvo – Green Technology Accelerator” from the solar energy, renewable energy sources, water and wastewater management sectors.
During the meeting the delegation watched a promotional spot on the project and representatives of the following companies delivered their presentations: Energo Natura Sp. z o.o., Technologie Ekologiczne – Michał Tokarz, Dagas Sp. z o. o., Energetyka Solarna ENSOL Sp. z o.o. and M3System Sp. z o.o. The members of the delegation were highly interested in all presented technologies and thus after the official part of the meeting, additional time was provided for talks with the project winners.
