For water companies which face the problem of municipal wastewater putrification in pressure sewer systems, we offer a pneumatic wastewater pumping station, EPP. In contrast to traditional systems equipped with pumps, the pneumatic pumping station refreshes the pumped wastewater, preventing its putrification, and ensures its safe and hygienic operation.
The EPP pneumatic pumping station can be applied at sites where it would be difficult or impossible at all to build a pumping station. This technology enables wastewater pumping over very large distances and very high elevations using compressed air, without having to use expensive pumps. This diminishes the total investment cost, since it is possible to build one system instead of a cascade of several pump systems. Moreover, the technology is a complete and fully automated high-capacity solution. In addition, the EPP pumping station is equipped with a special system to save and recover air; hence, the efficiency of the whole system is higher than that of other pneumatic pumping stations.
An example of the application of the technology is the pumping station which has been in operation for more than 4 years in Leszno, Poland with the flow rate Qp=15.6 l/s and the head Hp=2.35 bar. An external technological container, which was applied there for the first time, ensures comfortable and safe maintenance and operation of the system. The facility meets the European Standard PN-EN 12050-1 and enjoys a large interest on the part of customers engaged in pump engineering.
