On Monday, 18 February, ends the deadline for submitting applications for the GreenEvo – Green Technology Accelerator competition. Training and foreign trade missions together with the representatives of the Polish government await for the winners. The programme is financed by the Ministry of the Environment in 100% – said Beata Jaczewska, Deputy Minister. All Polish innovators are invited to take part.
GreenEvo is an original project of the Ministry of the Environment meant to promote Polish environmental technologies abroad. The competition is open to companies from the SME sector offering already implemented solutions from the area of environmental protection. We do not require the proposed technologies to be very advanced in technological terms. What really matters is the idea and easiness to adapt the solution on foreign markets – said Deputy Minister Jaczewska. An example of GreenEvo export hit is the briquetting press made by Biomasser and used e.g. in Tanzania. The uniqueness of the solution lies in the possibility to use it at any location and, if need, move it around.
Without a doubt it pays off to take part in the programme. There are numerous benefits related to the technology promotion in Poland and abroad for the winning companies. So far 40 winners were selected under three editions of GreenEvo. Half of them have already signed distribution agreements with foreign partners. Moreover, entrepreneurs take part in ca. 3-4 foreign trade missions. We make a thorough analysis of the market as regards the demand for the solutions offered by GreenEvo winners before each such trip. What is important – the company does not pay for it. The programme is financed by the Ministry of the Environment in 100% – said Deputy Minister Jaczewska.
Other benefits for the winning companies include trainings and consultancy services, as well as support in perfecting their offer to ensure it meets the expectations of foreign contractors.
The company that wishes to take part in the competition must submit a completed application form, which is available (along with competition rules and regulations) at: www.greenevo.gov.pl. The deadline for the submission of applications is 18 February.
All interested entities are also invited to visit the GreenEvo fanpage on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/greenevoazt, where they can find e.g. spots on the project and reports from trade missions.
