GreenEvo winners awarded with statuettes

Presentation of awards to the winners during the ceremonial gala crowned several months of activities conducted within the GreenEvo project. Minister of the Environment, Prof. Andrzej Kraszewski presented the achievements of Green Technology Accelerator and the perspectives for Polish eco-technologies on the global market. A video, depicting the operation principle of GreenEvo and technological solutions developed by the companies – winners of the project, was also presented.
The statuettes for laureates were handed over to the representatives of companies: Asket, Biogradex, Ecotech Polska, Energoinstal SA, Lediko, Marbet – Wil, Neon, Petroster, PP – EKO, Promar, Sunex, Wofil and Watt. The companies NPF and Ekotop Roman Sobczyk received the title of Wschodząca Gwiazda GreenEvo (GreenEvo Rising Star). The technology of the Alchemik company was also honored.
September was a very important month for all the entrepreneurs, the innovative solutions of which were qualified for the final phase of the project. Owing to GreenEvo, they could present their technologies during the international exhibition in Shanghai and at the international specialized Entech Pollutec fair in Bangkok. From Asia, they returned with many business contacts and broad perspectives for development and adaptation of their technologies on these markets.
“The winners came a long way with us, from intensive training, through elimination, to the “lucky thirteen” and foreign promotion in Asia.”, said Minister of the Environment, Prof. Andrzej Kraszewski. “Owing to GreenEvo, they gained not only practical knowledge on the ways to develop and promote their technologies, but also the administrative and organizational support in presenting their achievements directly to the partners from foreign markets”, summarized Minister Kraszewski.
Now, not only winners, but also every company and institution interested in green technologies will be able to benefit from this knowledge. Ministry of the Environment, in collaboration with other government institutions and academic centers, prepared special GreenEvo Reports, containing unique database of information about green technology markets in Poland and all over the world. The reports provide information on, among others, the major players in Polish eco-business, financial support and advisory instruments available to eco-entrepreneurs, as well as on the choice of foreign markets while planning export of their technologies. The reports “Technologie Środowiskowe w Polsce” (“Environmental Technologies in Poland”), “Instrumenty wsparcia dla polskich przedsiębiorstw z branży zielonych technologii” (“Support instruments for Polish enterprises in the green technologies industry”) and “Zielone Technologie – rynki zagraniczne i perspektywy rozwoju polskich firm” (“Green Technologies – foreign markets and development perspective for Polish companies”) were made available to the public for the first time during the gala on 30th September.
“I am convinced that positive experiences and successes of our winners will encourage other entrepreneurs and innovators to search for their place on the global market of green technologies”, said Prof. Andrzej Kraszewski, Minister of the Environment. “The reports, prepared by us as a practical handbook for success on the Polish and foreign markets, will be an invaluable support for them”, added Minister Kraszewski.
The primary aim of the GreenEvo project, inaugurated in November 2009, is to promote Poland as a country innovative and active in the field of activities related to the environmental protection. Twenty-nine projects were qualified for participation at the comprehensive development stage of all fifty-nine projects submitted for the programme, and thirteen of them were selected as winners.
