Thanks to the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Kielce, we were again hosted at the XXV International Fair of Energy and Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy Sources ENEX in Kielce. The jubilee edition of the fair was an opportunity to talk to companies participating in the GreenEvo program and entrepreneurs offering solutions in the field of green technologies, who are about to expand their activities in other countries.
Debate on “The latest technologies in the service of energy efficiency”
During the ENEX fair, the Ministry of Climate and Environment has moderated a debateentitled “The latest technologies in the service of energy efficiency”. Representatives of various environments were invited to join the conversation: the institution financing investments related to the transformation of the energy sector and heating sector (NFOŚiGW), local government (Zawichost Commune) and one of the winners of the GreenEvo program (MetalERG company). The participants were familiarized with the current challenges related to the need to maintain a balance between the pursuit of a low- and zero-emission energy transformation and ensuring energy security, and the possibilities of financing investments were shown. The needs of local governments and local communities as well as the opportunities related to the development of green technologies were also discussed.
Cooperation between the national and local government using Polish solutions
During the discussion, it was emphasized that actions aimed at improving energy efficiency and increasing the share of energy from renewable sources are undertaken at the governmental level – by creating appropriate policies and investment support instruments, as well as at the regional level – by implementing these tools. The introduced regulations are also an impulse for the development of new technologies. Giving dynamics to the transformation of the Polish economy towards low- and zero-emissions and at the same time ensuring energy security is a major challenge. However, it is possible thanks to the effective cooperation of the central and regional administration and the use of available technological solutions offered by Polish companies, represented in great numbers at the ENEX fair.
