The meeting with the Iraqi delegation, which visited the Ministry of the Environment, focused on a presentation of the GreenEvo project and the possibilities of bilateral cooperation. The meeting has been organised under the âPrivate Sector Development Programme for Iraq (PSDP-I)”.
During the visit in the Ministry of the Environment the guests were familiarised with the GreenEvo project which is an original project of the Ministry aiming at transfer of Polish environmental technologies abroad. The Iraqi delegation met also with the GreenEvo winners, who presented their solutions to the guests.
We recognise significant potential and possibilities of cooperation in the field of environmental technologies on the Iraqi market. I hope that the visit of the Iraqi delegation will, on the one hand, make our companies more aware of the conditions of making business on that market, and on the other, that it will help to establish business contacts – said Beata Jaczewska, Undersecretary of State responsible for GreenEvo implementation at the Ministry.
The Iraqi delegation included high-level representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, Ministry of Trade as well as representatives of the National Bank of Iraq, Iraqi Businessmen Union and Union of Chambers of Commerce in Iraq. This is not the first study visit of the Iraqi experts in Poland under the âPrivate Sector Development Programme for Iraq”. This programme pertains to support provided by the international community to restoration of the Iraqi economy and sustainable economic growth in the country.
