GreenEvo in Action: April Highlights

Participation in major industry events, international cooperation, and important policy developments — here’s what happened in the GreenEvo programme over the past month.

1. GreenEvo included in the National Public Procurement Policy

The GreenEvo – Green Technology Accelerator has been incorporated into the Public Procurement Policy for 2026–2029. Annex No. 2 of the document highlights examples of how GreenEvo can be applied in public procurement, emphasizing its role in promoting innovative and environmentally friendly solutions.

Using non-price criteria based on GreenEvo technologies not only supports environmental objectives but also fosters the development of modern, innovative markets – particularly for Polish companies.

GreenEvo can support public procurement by:

  • assisting in the planning as a knowledge hub of available innovative environmental technologies,
  • contributing to preliminary market consultations as a network of verified experts and companies,
  • helping design non-price criteria that reward environmental performance, low emissions, energy efficiency, and innovation.

2. What do smart streets look like? GreenEvo at the Kielce Conference

Urban streets are one of the key spaces for climate and environmental transformation. This is where challenges related to air quality, climate adaptation, urban greenery, and sustainable mobility converge.

The Ministry of Climate and Environment co-organised the conference “Smart, Sustainable and Digital Street”, actively supporting dialogue on modern and responsible urban policy. The event was held in collaboration with the City of Kielce, Smart Factor, Seedia, and Cyclomedia.

Companies from the GreenEvo programme – Seedia, KSK Developments, and Apanet Green System – presented practical solutions supporting sustainable urban development.

Examples of showcased solutions included: smart parking management systems, intelligent street lighting control, and charging infrastructure for micromobility.

3. GreenEvo Economic Mission to Kazakhstan

At the beginning of April, fourteen GreenEvo companies presented cutting-edge environmental technologies in Astana, supporting environmental protection and climate resilience.

During the economic mission, participants:

  • took part in the Poland–Kazakhstan Business Forum,
  • showcased innovative solutions in water management, energy, waste management, and smart city technologies,
  • established valuable business relationships with Kazakh partners.

The mission coincided with the session of the Polish-Kazakh Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, highlighting the role of green technologies in bilateral relations.

GreenEvo participants:

Biocontrol Sp. z o.o., DAGAS, Ecopolplast Sp. z o.o., EkoMaster – polskie bramy szybkobieżne, MetalERG Sp. z o.o. SYMBIONA, Petroster Serwis, Polska Synergia Sp. z o.o., PPHU AGATA, PROTE Technologie dla Środowiska., SYSTEM 3E, T-MASTER SA, T4B Sp. z o.o., Waste24.

The mission is already delivering tangible results! MetalERG announced plans to launch production of straw-fired boilers and air heaters in a special economic zone in Petropavl. The production is expected to target primarily Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, with potential expansion into the wider region.

4. Green Technologies for Clean Air – Conference in Katowice

In April, GreenEvo also participated in the 8th International Conference “Bioreactors in the Fight for Clean Air”, focused on innovations supporting air quality improvement in the context of energy transition.

The event was co-organised by Ekoinwentyka, a GreenEvo laureate, which has developed an air purification system based on a three-phase reactor using biological gas treatment processes.

Other GreenEvo laureates also presented their solutions, including Apanet Green System, Filters International, Marbet Wil, and Metalerg.

5. GREENSTRAT : tools for better public decision-making

The GreenEvo programme will benefit from tools developed under the GREENSTRAT project, designed to help public administration better identify, evaluate, and implement solutions supporting the green transition.

The project – implemented in cooperation with the Poznań Science and Technology Park and Adam Mickiewicz University – will deliver a systemic eco-innovation assessment tool.

This solution will:

  • enable identification and comparison of eco-innovative technologies,
  • support decision-making processes in public policies and funding instruments,
  • strengthen the institutional capacity for driving green transformation.

GREENSTRAT is funded by the National Centre for Research and Development under the GOSPOSTRATEG programme, contributing to the development of a modern, competitive, and low-emission economy.
