What does MetalERG Sp. z o. o. to do?

Janusz Cieślak: The company deals with the supply of technologies that enable the energy use of biomass. MetalERG designs and supplies heating boilers with power from 40 to 2000 kW. They are used e.g. in farms, greenhouses, chicken coops, piggeries, and even in heating schools, rural housing estates and many other facilities.

What are the benefits for MetalERG of being a laureate in the GreenEvo programme?

The company has been a laureate of the program since 2014. We received professional support, including training on the specifics of the foreign market, raising funds for research and development, patent protection or company development. In addition, our technologies and products have been widely promoted by the Ministry of Climate and Environment, both in Poland and abroad. This is an important help for a medium-sized company. In addition, we had the opportunity to participate in numerous fairs, conferences, as well as foreign economic missions. As a result, we have gained many valuable contacts, opening the way to further development.

What is the participation in economic missions organized by the Ministry of Climate and Environment like?

It all starts with a declaration of participation in such an event. In the next stage, the GreenEvo team creates a mission program together with representatives of diplomatic missions of the Republic of Poland and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. As participants, we can submit our suggestions for this plan, for example, indicate the target group we are interested in, suggest meetings with specific contractors, business partners or company representatives, as well as determine whether the event is interesting for us.

We can confidently confirm that economic missions organized by the GreenEvo team at the Ministry of Climate and Environment are fully professional, and the time spent during them is filled with interesting and fruitful events and meetings.

What is the company’s greatest success thanks to cooperation under the GreenEvo programme?

First of all, we have become recognizable in many countries around the world. We have managed to expand the sale of technology throughout Europe, as well as countries in Asia and North America. Moreover, we are in the process of establishing contacts with clients in Australia and South Africa. Thanks to the GreenEvo program, we have acquired valuable clients from Great Britain and the Balkan countries. We also managed to strengthen our position in Kazakhstan, which is one of the most important markets for us.

Where can the technology proposed by MetalERG be used?

MetalERG creates boilers and technologies that use non-forest biomass, i.e. straw, cereals, hay, energy crops and wood waste, which are transformed into renewable fuel to generate heat energy. Such biofuel can replace fossil fuels 100%. An additional advantage of biomass is that it does not generate carbon dioxide into the atmosphere during the combustion process, which makes it fully environmentally friendly. 1.5 kg of straw, used as biofuel, gives the same amount of heat as 1 kg of hard coal. Often, however, coal must be brought from the mine, while straw can be obtained practically throughout Poland and around the world. Our solution reduces the cost of transport. The owners of our technologies can obtain straw from local farmers, thanks to which they support the local market. As a result, the money stays in the commune, and this translates further into its development.

MetalERG technologies work well in places such as schools, sports halls, public buildings, farms, chicken coops, pigsties, farms, rural settlements and in general wherever heating is needed. The company also offers hot air generators, which will be useful, for example, for drying cereals. We are also planning to introduce technological steam for sale.

Do the technologies provided by MetalERG have the potential to develop also abroad?

Of course! It is worth emphasizing, however, that our technologies are most effective in local systems, places where there is easy access to biomass, i.e. straw, i.e. countries with a large agricultural sector. According to our saying “the sun never sets over our boilers” – the technologies provided by MetalERG are willingly used on many continents. Even boilers with less power are an element of the energy transformation, because each of them allows you to reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere, and also uses ecological, renewable fuels.
