As 2013 passes, it is time to recap all actions taken by the GreenEvo Team.
First and foremost, 8 companies were awarded in our contest. They joined the group of the most innovative green solutions promoted in the global market by Ministry of the Environment. All of them got specialised training how to sell eco-innovations on foreign markets. Moreover, altogether with 40 winners of the previous editions, they got opportunity to promote their technologies all over the world.
10 trade missions were organised in the last year. The GreenEvo Winners had an opportunity to participate in direct talks with representatives of public institutions and authorities, potential partners and investors, as well as universities, and research and developments centres. We focused on such countries as: Algeria, Georgia, Russia, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Austria and Australia. However, B2B and B2A meetings were not the only forms of networking opportunities provided to our companies. They also participated in international fairs, seminars, conferences and, last but not least, matchmaking sessions, aiming at linking partners in green technologies branch.
All of this was possible mainly thanks to our cooperation with Polish embassies, Trade and Investment Promotion Sections and Economic Sections all over the world. If it had not been for their efforts, efficient planning and logistics of all vital details of every single mission would be a herculean task.
Nonetheless, our activities do not comprise of only trade missions and trainings. We also prepare and publish analyses on green technologies markets, their background and characteristics determining companiesâ performance. In 2013, our experts focused on Polish market. Results of their research were published in a synthesis report entitled âThe market for environmental technologies in Poland – experiences of technology providers, lessons learned for public institutionsâ (full version of the report is available in Polish). The report describes Polish green technologies providers as well as dynamic realities of the green technologies branch in Poland.
Our efforts won international acclaim. The GreenEvo project was nominated in two European contests. In âThe World You Likeâ competition, organised by DG CLIMA (European Commission), GreenEvo got enlisted as one of the projects significantly influencing environmental policy in one of the Member States. Moreover, in European Public Service Award contest GreenEvo was one of five finalists in the âEuropean and national levelâ category. The contest, organised by EIPA, aimed to single out governmental projects which provided the most creative ideas for the time of economic crisis.
We are proud to be part of the project which every year strengthens its brand and earns good reputation, both in Poland and abroad. We cannot wait until the next, 5th edition is started in January!
